I don't know anything about this clown. But, this brought back memories of what
happened during my student teaching way back in 19??. The school I was at had a
janitor that had spent some time with the circus as a clown with the great Emmett
Kelley. They put on an assembly for us, where he started as a man with no makeup,
put on his clown makeup, then took it off. It was very interesting to watch him do
this. However, one of the kindergarten classes was late to the assembly, and the
janitor already had all of his makeup on before they got there. As he took it off,
one little girl got really scared and started screaming. I've never forgotten
that. We just never know what will frighten kids, do we?Janet Perry, Prek-12
