We have a problem with students who come down to the Media Center, spend
some time here, then leave to go back to class. Our policy is that they must
have "return" written by their teacher in their passbook in order to return
to class. The problem is that many students write their own passes, which
the teachers sign, and other students just write "return" themselves and
never get back to class (roam the halls) after they leave. All students do
sign out when they leave, but teachers rarely check if their students stayed
the entire period. I'm just wondering if any of you have had this problem,
and if there is a solution. We have probably about 40-50 students/day with
"return" in their passbooks (who knows how many are legit), so this is a big
problem for us. Thanks for any help you can give.
