Thanks to those of you who responded to me yesterday regarding video
Ipods. What I have discovered through much digging is that the new
Video Ipod Classic will ONLY work with the APPLE cords. Apple appears
to have put a new "chip" of some kind in them which will not recognize
universal cords or docking stations. Thus, requiring one to purchase a
$50 cord from APPle to make the connection to a television. I also
discovered that one must be very careful in which cords they purchase
from Apple. One of the $50 set of cords only works with a HDTV!
(Luckily I read this on a message board before I purchased the wrong one
again).
Hopefully, when I receive my new cord I will be able to show the video
streams I have loaded onto my Ipod to television sets. I just spent
about 45 minutes in a teacher's classroom helping her set up video
streaming from the Internet (speakers, connection, etc). With the use
of an Ipod, it should only take minutes to connect the Ipod to the TV
and be able to show the same streams!
