[LM_NET] REF: Book about NYC mole people

I read a book a few years ago about a girl in NYC whose house was being
renovated when she spys a face in a hole in her kitchen floor. This
leads her to finding a whole society living in the subway tunnels and
abandoned spaces underground in NY. Anyone know the title? Thanks.
