What about having them establish a fund that would allow you to host an author
visit at least once a
year; or buy the short-listed titles of an appropriate award; or purchase casual
relief so you can
establish some regular parent participation programs that help them understand how
the library fits
into to 21st century curriculum; or maybe an attractive water feature for your
entry; or an annual
award for library helpers; or a scheme that gives each new entrant (or baby sibling
of a student ) a
book of their own
Think about something that this group could name and have their generosity
acknowledged continually
rather than just a one-off that will soon get lost in the system.
