I agree with some of the other posts....I dislike all the "fluffy stuff".  I'd much 
rather only books! I always try to encourage children to buy a book first.  
Therefore, I pick and choose what goes out for sale.  As far as a book fair not 
being the "responsibility" of the library and giving it to another group to run, 
I'll disagree for those of us on limited budgets.  For 1 to 2 weeks of being tied 
up with the book fair, the results for the library are worth it.  The cash profit I 
receive from 2 book fairs is more than my regular book budget from the school.  If 
someone else runs it, most likely they'd get the profits.  So, in the end, it 
equals more books for the library to lend to students:)  I'll continue to depend on 
a book fair and its profits to improve our library.  Does anyone else feel the same?
