I count posting to LMNET and my state network as part of my professional
development plan. It is part of my CDU's that I count for the year for
recertification of my license. That is why I feel that I can spend the time reading
and responding to posts, I am listing the time that I do this as profession related.
As, I don't have a life. But seriously, I count LMNET as important reading SLJ or
Teacher Librarian Journal. I could not be as effective in my schools without these
resources.
But, make sure that what you post is something that you don't mind being part of
your life for the rest of your life. Since we are NOT anonymous, and googling
names and schools, and towns, what we post is out there in the WWW. (especially,
if you have an unusual name :-} )
If you want it secret, then only respond to someone's request without posting to
