Hello Colleagues,

(My attachment doesn’t appear to have worked so I am sending you a list. It’s
harder to read in this format but you will get the information!)

I am sharing the list of book recommendations for second grade students reading on
a sixth grade level. Many responses included series and specific authors.
Non-fiction is always a great choice. The consensus seems to be to encourage the
students to read what they enjoy, offer a variety of options to expand what they
enjoy and be sure the parents are in agreement with the suggestions. It's very
important to remember that they are young and the reading content should be
appropriate.
