A few years ago my husband and I vacationed in the Canadian
Maritimes. Prince Edward Island is just gorgeous and the air smells
like you stepped into a verdant greenhouse. I kept looking over each
rolling hill for that red-headed orphan who grew up to be Ann of
Avonlea. I didn't find her - but I surely saw lots of places where
she had been. The "Lake of Shining Waters" really does shine, and the
red sand beaches are _really_ red - a total wonder to this Texan used
to dirty-tan sand.
