It seems to me that common sense is called for here. We have been providing hand
sanitizers for our students' use for two years (one sits next to the kleenex box),
and use wipes for keyboards & phones, etc. We also have a policy in place not to
touch anything consisting of vomit or blood (this has been in place for the nine
years I have been at this school). We also are given rubber gloves to be used in
the event a student cuts him/herself and we have to help stop the bleeding.
Cleaning off books is excessive unless they are marred in some way when they are
returned.
