Hello LM_Netters,
I need some quick advice. I know I've read many times before about the importance
of school librarians being on the committee that does curricular planning and makes
those types of decisions. I've been at my current school for two years and was not
allowed to participate before despite my protests. We have a new administration
now and I just submitted my request to attend, saying that it will help me make
more informed decisions about purchases and also give me opportunities to
collaborate with teachers. The VP wrote me back saying there might be "more
efficient ways" for me to use my time instead of attending.
Can anyone give me advice/research/position statements from professional
organizations I can use to support my request? I'll post a HIT. Thanks in advance!
