LM_NET Archive

I have a student who came to me a few minutes ago and wants a book
source that has the origin of "be there or be square". Does anyone have
a good reference book source? (maybe you could fax me that page?) I
have the Facts on File Encyclopedia of Word and Phrase Origins, but it
is not in there. I tried to Google it and checked the LM_NET archives
for good Word origin websites. The information was very general and
mostly talked about where "square" comes from, which is not specific
enough for my student.

This girl tried so hard on her own, I almost want to jump into my car
and drive to the public library since they probably have a lot more
phrase origin books. But I thought I would try here first.

Thanks!
