[LM_NET] Target: High School Book Author

Hello all,
 
A student came into my library asking for a book.(HURRAY)  She knew  the 
title but not the author.  The title is America.  It is a YA book  about a light 
skinned black boy with red hair and green eyes.  His name is  America and went 
through a lot of foster care homes.  If anyone could  assist me with the 
author I would really appreciate it.  She also said the  book had a picture of the 
boys eyes on the cover.
