[LM_NET] Tar: sci fi short story - do you know this title?

One of my teachers is looking for a short story about a girl who lived on earth 
then moved to another planet where it rained all the time.  Every so often there 
would be 1 day of sunshine.  The kids on the new planet locked her up so she missed 
the one day of sunshine.  The teacher thinks this might have been made into a short 
movie.  Any ideas?  Thanks for any help you can give!
