Where would you put the Capstone Press Graphic Library series on Inventions and
Discovery? These graphic novel formats have information on the inventor and their
area of study. My first inclination would be to either file these all under
invention or to file them under the biographee. (?sp) They came filed under DDC all
over the place based upon the area of study. For example, Marie Curie and
radioactivity is listed under 540.92. Jake Burton Carpenter and the Snowboard is
796.33. As for considering use.... my third grade teachers are the ones currently
drooling over this series to use with the invention unit of science. Would that
more generally be 621.38? Argh! I am supposed to be on vacation, but I just
couldn't resist putting in the last cart of books so all $3,200 worth of nonfiction
books would be ready for the students and teachers on Day one. Advice?
