[LM_NET] Elem: Author Visit- New York

I was asked to book an author for next April. Since I have a pretty good  
lead time I would like to get a good author or illustrator. Can anyone recommend  
a great one from the new York Area. You don't have to go into great detail. 
Just  someone that you have had recently that would have books appropriate for 
K-4 and  has personality. can spend up to $1500.
