I'm looking for a picture book/folktale which a patron remembers reading when he
was young (late-1970s), and I could use your help identifying it.
The moon falls from the sky, getting stuck on a roof. A man and (maybe) a cat push
it off, and the moon then falls into a river. Some bats pick it up and put it back
in the sky.
We've checked the Storyteller's Sourcebook, the LM-NET archives, various literature
lists, but nothing is ringing a bell.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
-Kathy
