Thank you to Joyce Valenza for creating the TeacherLibrarianNetwork Ning at:
http://teacherlibrarian.ning.com/

I have added to this space by launching a group called: Building a Culture
of Collaboration -
http://teacherlibrarian.ning.com/group/buildingacultureofcollaboration

Here's your invitation to join (copy of first discussion post):

I created this ning group in an effort to contribute to the professional
conversation around the instructional partner role of teacher-librarians.

It seems logical and wise to launch this group within the
TeacherLibrarianNetwork brought to the profession by teacher-librarian
leader Joyce Valenza. My hope is that creating this space within an existing
space will generate increased interaction among educators with varied
interests and experiences.

Beginning as summer is upon us is also an important aspect of this group.
Summer is a time when more teacher-librarians have the opportunity to
reflect on their accomplishments of the past year - more time to discuss
best practices in teacher-librarianship.

Who is invited? You are!

Everyone who wants to explore the impact of coteaching on classroom teacher
and teacher-librarian professional development and student learning is
invited to join this group. I am hoping the discussion will attract
preservice and veteran teacher-librarians who are engaged in summer
coursework as well as practitioners who are taking a well-deserved summer
break from the classroom-library.

I am posting this invitation to LM_NET and to the Teacher-Librarian Division
list, which connects teacher-librarians from around the state of Arizona. I
encourage you to share this invitation to join this ning group with your
colleagues.

Welcome to Building a Culture of Collaboration!

I hope to hear (and see) you there.

Best,
Judi
