Hi All,

Thanks for those who responded. Here are the responses I received regarding
an inexpensive biography database. Unfortunately neither one will work for
me in my current situation.

*****

We use Wilson's Biography Plus. I don't know how much it costs, though. The
state of CT provides a suite of databases for all public, academic, school
and home library users for free. It's very comprehensive and we like it a
lot.

*****

We use Gale's, Student Resource Center Junior, which is only $700, if your
school pop is less than 500 students. It excells for biography and don't be
fooled by the "junior" - it certainly works for high school students, it
means it doesn't have as many sources as the bigger databases.
