Dear LM-Netters:
A board member instructed us to look into assigning weight to our AP
classes. Currently, we use a straight 4.0 ranking system. I believe his
rationale is that universities and colleges favor a weighted transcript,
as do some scholarship granting agencies. (My initial research indicates
that this is not necessarily so.)
Do any of your schools do this, and how is the weight determined?
There are so many issues surrounding this topic!
