Netters,
Do any of you know of a myth or fable about two
brothers who inherit a mango tree, cow, and bed
from their parents. The boys agree to share the
items-one will take the top of the tree and one
the bottom, one will take the bed in the morning
and one at night.
A student has submitted such a story, but the
teacher knows it's not his work. When questioned,
the student denied copying it and said the teacher
could even check the internet.
The teacher thinks perhaps it's a traditional tale
from the Middle East or East. Does it sound
familiar to anyone?
Thanks!
Nancy
