Well, a few weeks ago I told you my surveys from my second grade teachers
were brutal because they couldn't have a fixed schedule. Friday my principal
called me in and told me my contract would not be renewed! My K and ! teachers
are shocked and very supportive. The few parents who know are furious. As it
turns out, she let just about every non-tenured person go that she did not
hire. She has been principal for about 1 3/4 years. Guess she wanted "her" people
in these positions. As a nontenured person in this system, she didn't even
have to give a reason and could ignore my great evaluations. After 23 years in
education, I am unemployed.
So, I am hoping to interview for a grade 6-8 school opening but have always
had elementary students. Could you give me some ideas of things the principal
might ask? Also, let me know what are the current top titles, series and
authors for this age group.
I appreciate any and all help:-)
