Subject: RE: Kentucky travel

Dear Kentucky Colleagues,

Diana Mills has been helping me with ideas as I prepare to write a new
fiction book set in Hyden, Kentucky in the 1930's and wrapped around the
Frontier Nursing Service. In addition to a trip I plan to make to the
area (to breathe the air and experience the geography), she suggested
that I would really benefit from viewing some of the Appalshop films
that feature aspects of daily life from the past and interviews with
various people from that time period. It's rather hard to use the
formal interloan system to borrow films, but I thought that some of you
might be willing to loan them to me informally, if you own them in your
collection. I would be happy to repay your kindness by enclosing an
autographed copy of one of my children's books when I return them.

Please feel free to contact me at tonibuzzeo@tonibuzzeo.com if you have
a film or a few to lend.

Best,
Toni
