[LM_NET] TARGET: SEC- Inspirational books for teens

hi.......

I am tossing around the idea of developing a reading class for next 
year, one quarter (9 1/2 weeks), for high school students,  that will 
have an emphasis on gratitude, thinking positively, examining your life 
and where you want to go, what kind of a person you want to be.  
thinking of calling it: Inspiration Through Language Arts.

I am looking for titles of books to make a reading list (most important) 
and books to choose inspirational writings from.  if you see what titles 
I have been considering you may see where I want this class to go.  they 
will need to read at least one book  and we will do additional 
inspirational readings and writings (like regular journal writings and a 
gratitude journal).

current titles under consideration:
The Secret - Rhonda Byrne
The Alchemist - Paulo Coelho
Siddhartha - Hermann Hesse
Words of Wisdom - Rev Run
The Simple Abundance Journal of Gratitude - Sarah Ban Breathnach
Gift from the Sea - Anne Morrow Lindbergh
Chicken Soup - Jack Canfield

well, you get the idea.  suggestions?  anyone ever done a class like 
this before?
