Does anyone have guidelines for the display of student work in the library?
My library is the social and educational center of the school (with 21
doors!), and teachers take the liberty of displaying student work (dioramas,
sculptures, etc.) on library tables and shelves whenever they want and
without ever speaking to the librarian! Sometimes, to be honest, the work is
not display-worthy, and there is no explanation of the assignment. I
am hoping to develop a clear policy that honors student achievement but also
respects the library environment. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
