[LM_NET] Author visit for first grade

We are looking for a "meaty" picture book or nonfiction author for our  first 
graders.  We are in Western New York.  We have a total of about  $2000 to 
spend on the honorarium, travel, lodging, food, etc.  Do you have  someone to 
recommend?  Will anyone in our area be having an author coming  in the last half 
of February or anytime in March 2008?  Thanks for any  recommendations.
