I have very few rules - and most of the kids can quote them --

Work quietly and do not bother others
Do not bother Dr. Cuseo (unless you need help)
All chairs must be pushed in when you leave
Please and thank you for everything
For a joke sometimes - when the chimes ring that the period has started I will ask
a senior to stand up and alert any newcomers to that period as to the rules. S/he
does an excellent job of quoting the above.

Hi,

We have been working on increasing the number of students using the High School
Library and have made great strides but it has come at the expense of the old rules
that goverened the library and kept it manageable. What rules do you have in place
in your library? How do you keep it from being a student lounge instead of a
library?

Thanks,

Michelle
