Thank you to Aldean Kilbourn, Elizabeth Varley, Mary Tichey-Staack,
Maureen Mooney, Cheryl Youse, Sonja Cole, and Joanne Ladewig for all
their suggestions. I apologize to all who were waiting for this HIT for
holding on to these for a week, but I *thought* I'd have time to collate
them... and didn't.

Bruce Coville has SEVERAl titles that are alien driven and are one of
the lowest readability science fiction I have seen.
Aliens for Breakfast by Etra
Aliens for Lunch by Etra
Shadow Children series: Among the .... by Haddix
Alien Alert! By Hess
Nick of Time by Lindbergh
My Trip to Alpha by Slote
Captain Fact Series by Knife & Packer'
Commander Toad Series by Yolen
Earthborn by Waugh
----------------------------
Help! I'm Trapped in My Teacher's Body by Strasser
-------------------------------------------------
When I do SciFi with the kids I always pull Commander Toad by Yolan, Bruce
Coville's Space Brat and even Daniel Pinkwater has a couple of titles as
well for this age group.
----------------------------
My students in MI and in GA all like anything by Mark Crilley.
Personally, sci fi is not my favorite genre but the kids love his
books. We had him for an author visit in MI (he lives in the Detroit
area) and he was fantastic with the kids. I have also had kids go crazy
about Sleator's The Boxes.
