Good morning!
My question has to do with free tools available online, such as Google
Notebook, as well as the advanced features of databases such as EBSCO
Host. Do you teach (as in give presentations to groups of students)
their use? One of our English teachers is getting ready to start on a
research paper, and I'm wondering if I should even try to interest her
in allowing me to teach the students how to use these. Is it enough
that they learn that databases exist and that they can search them for
reliable information? These are college prep students - one group
sophomores (honors) and the other seniors. My sense is that very few,
if any, of them are aware of these tools. I don't think the teacher is
aware of them either. Will I needlessly complicate the research paper
project? Too much time for too little return? Any feedback welcome!
Thanks!
