Dear Colleagues,

As you know, I've been working on a new speech about the importance
of reading (literature) and story in an age of high stakes testing. I
have had some great correspondence with teachers and librarians who
have been able to keep story alive in their schools. But I also know
that there are many teachers and librarians who are so strangled by
testing and its demands that they are losing the time they would like
to give to reading aloud, to sharing literature and stories. If you
can share some of those truths with me, please drop me a line. I
would love to hear from you.

Best,
Toni
