[LM_NET] Gen: Playaways

I have checked the archives and have decided to order some Playaways but
still have a couple of questions.

Should I order extra supplies like earbuds, earbud covers, battery
doors, etc. to anticipate loss or damage?

Do you shelve them with books or separately on specialty rack or
something?

What is the difference between the FM transmitter and the speaker
accessory?  Have you had teachers use either of these as a way to share
the Playaway with a whole class?

Thanks for your help.  I appreciate the information before I make an
investment in this format.
