[LM_NET] GEN: How to Reduce LM_NET Message Volume

Dear LM_NET Colleagues,

In case you have been wondering about the recent postings on
this subject, here is one way to to Reduce LM_NET Message
volume, by making use of our affiliate (and separate)
mailing list: EL-Announce with LM_NET Select.

EL-Announce with LM_NET Select is a moderated,
thrice-weekly, read-only compilation of selected messages
posted to LM_NET along with limited library media vendor
announcements.  

If you subscribe to EL-Announce with LM_NET Select-- in
addition to thrice-weekly LM_NET Select compilations-- you
will receive announcements of new products, services, or
opportunities specifically suited the the education and
library fields. 

This is an announcement list only--there will be no
discussion, but you will be able to reply directly to a
specific vendor to obtain additional information. 

If you want to be able to also post to LM_NET, you may join
EL-Announce with LM_NET Select, and retain your LM_NET
membership-- and set it to NOMAIL. That way LM_NET will not
send you messages, but you can still post to the group. 

The LM_NET Select compilations are comprised of links to the
LM_NET Web Archives, so you will need to be online in order
to read the LM_NET postings via LM_NET Select.
