I know it is early for this request, but I was hoping to get some suggestions for a
class I am taking very soon. One the first day we are supposed to bring in a book
we think will be a contender for the Caldecott medal next year. I have been
looking at the local bookstores, online, and at the local public library and have
come up blank. There are a lot of nice books out there, but I haven't seen
anything that I think is a Caldecott possibility. I was hoping that some of you
might have seen something that caught your eye. I have run out of time to look
myself as I have started an all day class (8-4:30) that will end the day before my
other class starts. I can't spend hours searching anymore. I know I am making
this harder on myself than I have to, the teacher would likely accept almost
anything brought in, but I feel wrong about bringing in something that I don't
think has a real chance. So any help you could give me would be appreciated. I
will post a hit after
both my classes are over. Thank you so much.
