Several people asked for a HIT; these are the replies that I received:
Ron Koertge did a list, called "Unlikely Titles" for the back page of
the Sept/ Oct. Horn Book Guide. They were hysterical. I read them to
the students in 6 - 8 and they loved them, so I asked them to make
their own. I posted some of the better ones on my library web site,
http://haworth.org/libunliketitle.html. It was a fun extension for them.
(I located the Horn Book Guide on our EBSCO database) MW
How to Kill a Mockingbird

this was a real request from a college student who didn't listen closely enough in
class
Satanic Nurses by Salman Rushdie
Fahrenheit 400 by Ray Bradbury

Bridges of Merrimac County
Bridges of Macon County

Bridges over Madison Square Gardens

I am using some of all of these as the MC in next month's meeting. I hope that I
thanked each person personally who emailed me, but in case I missed someone, I
really appreciate all the help.
