[LM_NET] TARGET: baseball novel for 8th grade

I want to read a novel about baseball with my 8th grade boys.  Last year I read 
Heat (Lupica) with them, but they thought it would be better for 6th or 7th 
graders, and I agree.  Any suggestions?  I am looking for a fairly recent book.
