Unfortunately one of the trends I am seeing (but NOT in my building)
is that principals are taking librarians out of the library 90
minutes a day to teach a reading block! Like Sam said, I don't know
much about the teaching of reading...my forte comes in knowing books
to suggest to help the kiddos find books for their pleasure reading.
I probably know more about reading now than I did when I first
started because one of my friends has a masters in reading so I have
picked stuff up from her....but not enough to actually teach it.
