[LM_NET] HIT: Read Across America Ideas

Hi, everyone.

A few weeks ago, I posted a target message asking folks for their creative
ideas for this year's Read Across America celebration.

The responses were as follows:

 

1.      Since it's the Cat in the Hat's 50th birthday, use a "50's" theme
with a sock hop as a culminating activity.
2.      Have the kids read 10 minutes a day for five days = 50 minutes.
3.      Interviewing people over 50 year of age to find out what they liked
to read when they were kids.
4.      Checking out the nea.org official website for their ideas.
