I have been looking at the catalog from the Library Store. I am considering
buying some books with ready-made lesson plans for those days (like today)
when all...uh...heaven breaks loose.
They offer a set of 5 books for $62.78 "Written by an award winning
librarian, this planned course of study offers teachers ways to leave
children excited about the library." The books are K-2, Grade 3, 4, 5, and
6. The author is not given nor is it apparent from the photo. The books
can be purchased seperately for $13.95 each.
The other set is called Library Tips and Strategies Boos and includes titles
"Elementary School Librarians Survial Guide" "Hooked on Library Skills" and
"Library Skills Games" Again, no author is apparent. The books are about $30
each.
Does anyone have any experience with either of these series? Do you love
them? Hate them? Are they worth the money? Any comments would be
appreciated! Thanks and have a great weekend!
