This year both our elementary campuses decided to upgrade to the Enterprise edition
of Reading Counts. We have had earlier versions for over seven years with no major
problems.
However, the Enterprise edition seems to have quiet a few bugs. It times out
after 15 minutes, you can't print labels from the quiz disks instead you must go
through all your installed quizzes and click each quiz. Now it has started giving
us a C55 error which blocks students from taking tests for no apparent reason.
Both myself and the other elementary librarian have called Scholastic numerous
times about these problems without any help or suggestions for a fix. First they
claimed that the students had taken teacher made quizzes which had corrupted the
system but the students had not taken any teacher made quizzes. Then they suggested
a system restart which was done without any success. The blocking students is
especially worrisome.
Is anyone else having problems with this program? How has Scholastic responded to
your inquiries and concerns? I will post a Hit if I get enough input.
