The other day I was looking at www.cragislist.com
<http://www.cragislist.com/> and this ad in Lost and Found caught my
eye. I am adopted and these situations tug at my heart strings. I've
been in contact with poster, and he has no more places to search. There
is not even a record of his adoption, because his birth mother used his
adopted mother's name when she checked into the hospital. The attending
doctor has passed away, and even though Robert has acquired his medical
records from his birth they do not use the birth mother's real name.
This story would make a great novel.
Can you help Robert?
Jersey City Baby born 3/2/60
I am searching for my birth mother who checked into Greenville hospital
under my adoptive mother's name. All info she provided for the records
was that of my adoptive parents. There were a few pieces that did not
fit: a maiden name of Fisher, and address of 565 Montgomery Street and
an occupation of student. We do not know if these are clues or red
herrings to protect everyone involved in an "unofficial" adoption. I am
happy and well adjusted but have questions about my heritage. Any info
provided would be treated very discreetly.
