[LM_NET] Technology encyclopedia

Hello--
        Our library has 2 science/technology encyclopedia sets:
How it Works: the illustrated science and invention encyclopedia  
(Stuttman, 1983) 23 vols.
Science and Technology Illustrated: the world around us (Encycl.  
Brittanica, 1984) 28 vols.

        I'd like to get a more up-to-date set; any suggestions? I do not  
have access to Wilson's Middle and Junior High School catalog.

We have Growing Up with Science, UXL Encyclopedia of Science, &  
Raintree Illustrated Science Encyclopedia. I'm hoping for something  
with more of a technology focus.
