I had a girl ask for Huckleberry Finn, but not the one in the fiction
section, the other one (in the 800s). "I want the ATONED version." (annotated,
she meant)
I started to imagine a newly discovered version in which Huck mends his ways
and starts wearing shoes and starched collars and going to Sunday school
with Aunt Polly!
Keep the faces straight and the smiles unironic, folks! :-)
