Greetings yet again, good colleagues.
It's decision time on my databases, and I'm trying to decide between Ebsco's Ultra
Online Package and Proquest. I've had Proquest ever since it used to be Big Chalk,
and I really love it.
Have any of you made the switch from one to the other, and if so, what was your
experience?
I love the Culturegrams but I was really disappointed when I finally got a teacher
who was all gung-ho to use it to have the kids analyze differences in the ways
countries celebrate Christmas to discover that basically all that was included was
"this country celebrates Christmas". It seemed like a great opportunity for the
database to spell out differences between countries on this topic.
The archives have interesting information about the various databases, but I'm just
hoping for some recent insights.
Thank you!
