My mother is looking for the title of a book that she would like to give
to the little girl next door.  

She cannot remember the title - but it was about a little girl that had
poor eye sight and as an example 

thought that a chair was a giraffe.  The character in the book then gets
glasses and can then see that the 

chair is not a giraffe but a chair.  She's not sure of the publication
date, maybe in the 70's. 

 

I would really like to find the title of this book for my mother. The
family next door has been such a help to 

her since they moved in - and with passing of my father on Dec. 19th she
would

really like to get this book for the youngest child.
