[LM_NET] OT: How to build a railroad car

Greetings!

I have a third grade student who wants to know how railroad cars are 
built.  Are they built on rail or what?  I have looked in my 
resources and some on-line.  Any help you could give me would be 
greatly appreciated.  Please reply to me off-list.
