[LM_NET] favorite picture books

The art teacher at my school would like to start buying books for her
new grandchildren.  Of course she really wants to get ones with great
illustrations.  I am a secondary person so other than the Caldecott list
I don't really know what to recommend to her.  So, elementary people....
what are your favorite picture books?
