I am so excited, a 4th grade teacher came to me first before selecting classroom
novels. She seemed willing to look for something current, with strong female
characters or different point of view. She does the Prince and the Pauper, Jane
Addams, and Jackie Robinson.
I would appreciate any suggestions that would tie in with these topics or time
periods.
Also I was trying to think of a new book for a student that I am having a brain
freeze over. It is a new book that takes place in New York and the background story
is the building of the Brooklyn Bridge. The picture on the cover shows the pillars
of the bridge. Ring any bells?
