Hello Austin librarians!



I have been keeping my eye on job postings in AISD and surrounding
districts.  I am a transplanted Texan living in NJ these 10 years.  I can't
believe it's been that long!!  I have had my review of credentials by the
TEA, and at the end of this school year, I will be certified to find a job
in Texas. If the Austin job market finds a place for me, then I am finally
homeward bound.  

 

I am going to be in Austin in April for a wedding and would love to deliver
resumes to schools and/or interview at that time.  Does anyone know of a
school (preferably elementary) that is anticipating a job opening?  I also
see that AISD has a Media Services department (?) located on Keats Drive.
Is there someone there that I should contact?

 

I am curious to know how you found your job as a school librarian in Austin.
Is it worth airfare to attend a job fair?
