[LM_NET] Community / Citizenship Books

Dear LM_Netters:
 
I am in need of some book ideas for a second grade unit we are starting.  The 
teacher is trying to explain concepts regarding being part of a community, why we 
need leadership, community helping, citizenship...
 
I am hoping for some non fiction books but also maybe of some stories that 
demonstrate a problem where the community rallies and works together??
 
Thank you in advance for these ideas, as I am sure they will come.
