Good morning all:
Although I have not been able to come up with the budget for
an on-line encyclopedia subscription, I am going to try to use the
free Britannica site with some of our students so that they can at
least get the idea of how to use an on-line encyclopedia. I work with
elementary school so I am not sure that they will be able to get much
out of it, but we do not have public libraries with on-line databases
that we can try out using our public library card here, there aren't
that many options out there that I can think of.
Does anyone have any really great lesson plans that they use
as an introduction to on-line encyclopedias? I have plenty that I use
with encyclopedias of the print version, but I am wondering if there
isn't something that you professionals have used that have worked with
this before that may work.
Thanks for any help that you can give me and have a Happy New Year
everyone!
